The Castillo de Colomares, officially known as "Castillo Monumento Colomares," is a unique monument in Benalmádena, built between 1987 and 1994 by Dr. Esteban Martín y Martín as a tribute to Christopher Columbus and the discovery of America. It combines different architectural styles such as Neo-Byzantine, Neo-Romanesque, Neo-Gothic, and Mudejar, resulting in a fascinating, fairy-tale-like structure.

A special highlight is the tiny chapel of Santa Isabel de Hungría, measuring only 1.96 square meters, considered one of the smallest churches in the world. Visitors are captivated not only by the artistic architecture but also by the breathtaking views over the Costa del Sol.
